Joan Blondell in one of the earliest tri-chrome Hollywood portrait sittings, dating to April 1931. This early color process was developed by photographer Edwin Bower Hesser, a pioneer in early color photography. A slightly alternate shot of this image appeared on the Aug 1931 cover of HOLLYWOOD magazine. Image restored using the vintage original tri-color (carbro) camera separation negatives.
